Diane Breesch

Diane Breesch is Professor of Accounting and Auditing at the Solvay Business School, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She teaches courses on Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Auditing for which she co-authors several published textbooks. Her research mainly focuses on audit quality including auditor (going concern) reporting and individual auditor characteristics. Her research has been published in several top tier journals such as, Auditing: A Journal of Theory & Practice, European Accounting Review and Accounting Horizons. Diane is a Past Chair of the Department Business and, since 2019, Academic Director of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Solvay Business School at the VUB. She also serves as an expert member of several audit committees.
